DRX-9000 Spinal Decompression (Back to Top)
Our clinic has had remarkable success with both acute and chronic back and neck pain conditions. We specialize in the treatment of disk herniation, degenerative disk disease, facet syndrome, disc-related sciatica, SI joint strain and related problems. Our multi-faceted approach includes treatment with the DRX9000, a system designed to provide static, intermittent and cycling distraction forces at specific spinal segments. This type of decompression across the intervertebral disks and associated structures serves to take pressure off spinal nerves and open intervertebral spaces.

Laser Therapy (Back to Top)
Laser therapy has been increasingly used in medicine over the last few years as a non-surgical means of effecting cures for a variety of pains and ailments, for assisting normal healing processes to occur earlier and better, and as prophylaxis against the occurrence of undesirable side effects. Laser therapy stimulates the natural healing power in the cells of the body. The Erchonia Laser uses the energy of light, known as photon energy, to stimulate the activity of cell components.
By using this therapy, you have a simple, effective, non-pharmacological medical alternative. Conservative management of acute and chronic injuries and post-operative wounds have come to include the use of photon energy because it is quickly effective and easy to administer. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find a physiotherapy department or clinic that does not have access to this modality.

Electromyography (Back to Top)
Our clinic utilizes surface electromyography or sEMG to see if the electrical signals in your muscles are the same, side to side. This test does not use needles and is completely painless and non-invasive.
Certification by the SPACE FOUNDATION as Space Technology (in cooperation with NASA)
The United States space program has used surface EMG for space flight analysis. CLA's head engineer, Lee Brody, was involved in two of the studies, which took place as part of a joint MIT/Boston University research project funded by NASA.
The Neuromuscular Research Center at Boston University designed and implemented two experimental protocols: (1) to measure the EMG activity of astronauts pre and immediately post shuttle flight to quantify the changes in muscle activity due to the weightlessness of space. Lee and his team designed a protocol to measure signals from the Tibialis Anterior muscle of the dominant leg during a series of isometric constant force contractions, and (2) designed a measurement technique and analysis software for NASA to test different designs of Extra Vehicle Gloves [the gloves that the astronauts use while outside the space craft during repairs, research, etc. result in tremendous fatigue of the muscles in the hands and forearms].
